Amanda is the Project Coordinator for HELP’s Implementation team, providing support to the CHEQ, EDI, and MDI research projects. Prior to joining HELP, Amanda worked at Vancouver Coastal Health, conducting evidence-based reviews and supporting projects aimed at improving determinants of health in communities. She also worked as a Research Assistant with the Weinberg Lab at UBC, where she helped with research on early life adversity and the role of the immune system on the health of individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).
Amanda has an MSc in Population Health from University College London (UCL) and a BSc from UBC, with a focus on Pathophysiology and Neuroscience. She is interested in better understanding how to address social determinants of health and health inequities to improve health and social outcomes, especially among marginalized populations. Outside of work, you can find her at a concert, doing something fun with her dog, or spending time with family/friends!
